Permission to Take a Day Off

By November 14, 2020February 12th, 2021No Comments

Had enough with 2020? I know we are all tired of it. We are tired of the isolation of a pandemic and the fear of a transition of power that seems to be held hostage by our outgoing White House occupant. The election was grueling. It wore me down. It wore you down. My clients and colleagues were frozen for weeks. I was frozen for weeks.

It’s ok. We all feel it. We all feel the burnout and we all need a break. I recently texted to several friends that what we need right now is a collective three months off.  Some of us need permission to take a day off, even if we own our own businesses. I grant that permission. I hope you get to take a day off and take a deep breath.

The winter solstice is just around the corner and that means we are turning toward the light again. So keep that in mind on your day off.

In the meantime, please enjoy Rae’s November blog on systems change and LeBron James. We all could use a little LeBron right now.
