Healthy food and good health are at the heart of a local economy, and Presbyterian Healthcare Services is the first major hospital system in New Mexico to undertake a local food procurement program to not only keep patients, staff, and visitors healthy, but to grow the local economy. Along with partners Hispanic-American Institute and Delicious NM, I am proud to be supervising the Local and Sustainable Food Procurement Program to create a strategy to access local farmers and food businesses across New Mexico for high quality, healthy food.
